As a child, I would not say I was a nerd, but I loved school. I loved reading, books and, all that education-based. Therefore, I put forth my best efforts. I performed well in school, but on weekends, I was still on top of the lessons, which were assigned...determined to strengthen skills I lacked and further develop my strengths.
Just being a good student by nature, helped me a lot. I know that's not the case with all children. Nowadays, teachers provide incentives, which can be a good or bad thing.

ReplyDeleteIt's easier said than done. Nowadays, we're less focused on education than our next XBOX Live, texting, chatting.
